Introduction:
There are 4 artifacts that include a magazine, a poster, a dating website, and a powerpoint. Each has information about a certain topic and includes explanations. In the first artifact, "where is it?", you will learn what anatomy and physiology are. You will read the life characteristics such as responsiveness, growth, respiration, and many more characteristics. The levels of organization from smallest to largest are included and the functions of each system is explained as well. Homeostasis is the property of the system that regulates the internal environment and tends to maintain a stable constant condition. Anatomical planes, directional terms, and body organizations are shown and explained. In the second artfact, "what is it made of?", list of organelles, organic compounds, inorganic compounds, plasma membrane, enzymes, and protein functions are explained in detail. Explanations of what is included in each organelle in included.
In the third artifact, "how does it work", you will learn about passive transport, active transport, cell metabolism, protein synthesis, and growth. Diffusion, dialysis, and osmosis are included as well for further understanding of passive transport. In the fourth artifact, "what can I see?", explains each type of tissue such as simple squamous, stratified squamous, simple cuboidal, pseudostratified, transitional, and glandular epithelium.
